LOSS 12-34. The first half was brutal as the Renegades scored on 4 possessions. Cal scored on a sweep but they missed the extra point. He scored again on a quick pass and after missing the extra point, the Falcons were down 12-28 at halftime. We made adjustments on defense to hold the Renegades in the second half, but were unable to score again. Our third string defense gave up a TD with 1:00 minute left to play. Final 12-34.
RECORD 3-4
LOSS 0-8. We definately improved the defense. Shutting out the other team on offense through the first half felt great. Only problem was we couldn't get an offensive drive going. With only seconds left in the 1st half, Cal caught a pass and broke 6 tackles (1 hard effort at a time) and went 60 yards before going down. He came out to catch his breath with 9 seconds left in the half. We attempted a home run throw into the endzone but was intercepted. Halftime 0-0. The defense played strong in the second half as well, but gave up one 45 yard sweep to the 5 yard line. This led to a TD run up the middle for them and that would be the last offensive score for either team. We gave up a safety late in the 4th quarter and lost the game 0-8. This was the first game Cal was shut out since 2002 with the Knights. Coincidentally, the same coach that coached that Knights team was the defensive co-ordinator for the JCYA in this game. Yuck!

WIN 38-13. We decided to change the whole offense this week and it paid off. We kicked off and stopped the Jr Knights after 4 downs. Cal took the ball up the middle on the first play and after breaking two tackles took it 50 yards for a TD. On the next offensive series for the Jr Knights, we forced a punt and again Cal took it to the house from 55 yards out on the punt return. We stopped the Jr Knights again and on the next drive, Cal took a sweep for his 3rd TD in the First Quarter. Falcons 20 Jr Knights 0. Cal went on to score 2 more times giving him 5 TD's on the day. The whole team played to perfection, especially the offensive lineman. Josh Andre scored a TD as well. The defense was solid, only giving up two scores on two long pass plays, both of whch were tipped by our defense before they caught it. Overall, a great game for everyone!
WIN: 25-22. Falcons dominate the first three quarters. Cal scores on the first drive and then the defense holds Wentzville. We don't score again until a few seconds left in the half giving us a 13-0 lead at halftime and we were obviously dominating on offense and defense. In the third quarter we swapped TDs making it 19-8. We were able to mix up the offensive play calling and keep possession of the ball most of the quarter. In the fourth quarter we gave up a couple of scores with our backups in, but still dominated when we needed to. Cal ended with 4 TDs (3 rushing and 1 receiving). Final score: 25-22.
LOSS 13-19. Toughest team we played all year, yet the best everyone played. We had several chances in the fourth quarter to win it but just couldn't score that last touchdown.

LOSS 24-31: What a hard fought game. The Spartans took the opening drive down the field for the first TD of the game (the kick was good for 2 points). The Falcons answered right back with a TD drive (Cal 60 yard run) but missed the extra point. The kicking game would prove to be the difference in this one. The Spartans took the next drive in for another TD but missed their extra point. The Falcons average start was at the 25 yard line where the Spartans average was the 45 yard line. On the next drive the Falcons were forced to punt and the Spartans ran it back for a TD. Spartans missed the kick, making it 20-6. The Falcons then started drivng down the field. Cal ran a sweep in for an apparent TD, but the ref called it back saying he stepped out of bounds. The drive stalled 1/2 yard short of a first down at the 10 yard line. The Falcons stopped the Spartans from doing anything else. Halftime 6-20. The Falcons came out fired up and scored on the opening drive but again missed the extra point: 12-20. But the Spartans marched down the field for another score. and made the extra point. 18-28. Fumbles and penalties stalled the Falcons from scoring again. Late in the game the Spartans were stopped at the 15 yard line but kicked a field goal. On the final play of the game, TJ Sheetz threw a perfect spiral pass to Cal running full speed and he pulled it in from his fingertips fully strectched out. It was a thing of beauty, but it was a bit too late. It was Cal's 4th TD of the game, tying the Spartans TD total, but the kicking game proved to be the difference. Final score 24-31.

WIN 19-0. What a game! We shut them out. First half was a little scary as we went in tied 0-0. But we took full control in the second half. Cal scored two touchdowns and Zach Courtwright scored one. We had solid running out of Stephen McDermott and Josh Andre. And the defense was spectacular. The later in the game it got, the more they shut down Wentzville. Final score 19-0.
